Well said. But you did not touch on the subject of Love. Divine love, filial love, conjugal love. Cosmic love, minuscule love. The love that flares and the love that dissolves and the love that consumes. Love is the heart of it all.

Build: Scarlet is a slender woman with a natural womanly softness. Her shape is enhanced by familiarity with a corset and high quality fashion of the era. Hair: Long, ebony brown black, curls to her hips if let loose.
Eyes: Dark brown, black, but have been black and stormy for some time. Lately, there's something of the manner of a dark sun about them.
Dress Style: Impressively attired at all times in the latest fashions that skirt the edges of propriety.
Distinguishing Features: None other than beauty and sometimes piercing gaze.
Notable Possessions on her person: a crimson ribbon shaped to a ring, a ring on her fourth finger of her left hand, a necklace- either of with a cluster of pearls in the shape of grapes or a silver leaf, occasionally, a jeweled pin shaped like a tussie-mussie.
Manner of Speaking: Engagingly sensual and convoluted.
General Attitude: Enigmatically engaging.
General Impression: A woman on a pedestal of society and allure, untouchable yet enticing you to touch. Being around her is akin to pressing your cheek on a pane of glass between you and the sun - there's so much promise, if only you could get closer.
The Basics
Full Name: Scarlet Olivia Fenwick
Aliases: Scarlet Saint, the Crimson Coquette, The Neath Dove, Toast of the Town
Birthday: January 7th
Chiropteromantic Sign: The Bat
Age: 26
Additional Physical Description: She is hale and well enough for a Neathy citizen.
Distinguishing Features: There are lines of scars that have been tattooed over into long ivy across her torso and wrapping around one leg. Across her belly, though, it is clear and youthful, as though someone wiped away the connecting vines and gave her new skin.
Manner of Movement: Lissome. Scarlet has been brought up as a fine lady, with manners, grace and delicacy--all of which she has turned to purposes less...socially acceptable. Her awareness of her body is highly developed, so there are few movements that haven't been cultivated into grace and purpose. However, one who studies her movements over time will note a certain anxiety or that usually translates itself through her hands.
Manner of Speech, detail: Scarlet takes great effort to attempt to ascertain the lines of decency or boundaries of most situations, and then dance along them with her language. Many times, she will delight to spend time twisting language to say what she could not say plainly without offending someone, or using it to cut straight to the quick if that is more startling. She uses her vocal skills to her advantage; she has a large tone range and can vary her tone quality in order to add meaning or depth to words that might otherwise be innocent. Uses language to protect her true feelings, although her hands reveal a great deal about her emotional state, in how their gestures accompany her words.
Physical Health: Scarlet has an average constitution, but barely eats to maintain her appearance. She's fast rather than strong, although her line of work depends more on muscle tension than size.
Mental Health: Manipulative, self-important, superstitious, vindictive. Claustrophobic. Emotionally walled off in many situations, replaces "closeness" with physical intimacy and sexuality. Breaching the emotional hull is difficult, and she may act defensive, vulnerable, or aggressive if someone manages - depending on the situation. Ruthless to those in the way of her goals. Practically minded, for all her artistry and masks.
Positive Traits: Builds bridges, promotes those loyal to her, True to her word, tenacious, in general tries to make people happy. Problem-solver, gives people a chance before dismissing them, and Nathan keeps calling her brave.
Negative Traits: manipulative, patronizing, arrogant, and while she doesn't lack a moral compass, she doesn't have issues with where the needle points. Callous and has no issue meddling with other people's lives.
Vices: Seductions of all kinds - Power and manipulation and righteousness. She doesn't even need to get credit for it. Scarlet loves seeing something she planned or predicted come to fruition, loves to be right. She builds such a complex web among everyone connected to her that she must be careful on which threads she dances.
Likes: Winning. Seduction, Dancing, sex, pleasures of all sorts, arranging people's lives, playing puppetmaster, diving into a new mystery (which might be a new person), Seeking. Foods: fresh fruit and tea.
Dislikes: Being caught off-guard, be alone, failure, the zee, compromising her principles, Seeking, animals/pets, Rubbery People, Tomb colonists. Foods: mushrooms and coffee.
Getting Things Done
What are your primary focuses, in terms of the four main stats?
Persuasive, Watchful.
What are your weaknesses? Do you have a ‘Dump Stat’?
Shadowy is the dump stat- all of her "hidden things" fall under persuasive.
Allies & Associates: Scarlet is a connection-builder and attempts to bring everyone into her fold in some way or another. The only person she trusts wholly is Nathan -he's the only one who really knows her.
Pets: All of the pets belong to Nathan. Her animals are functional. She has a raven and a bat and a slug "Treacle" that is currently being cared for by Becquerel Cure.
Pear, a calico cat/Tiger, however, would qualify more as a companion - Scarlet will claim over and over that Pear is not her pet.
Connections:
Highest Connection: The Great Game - a Power in the Shadows. Scarlet is a Spymaster and Player on the Board, with her own extensive network throughout London and even the surface. However, she has to date successfully maintained the appearance that she only dabbles now and then, a very minor player connected to Nathan Attford. And people believe it, being a woman.
Second highest connection: Society. Scarlet navigates the social network with ease from years of experience in seduction and having been brought up as a lady in terms of dancing, hosting events, and more. Her demeanor has always been more towards the edge of propriety, though, pushing the envelope to see how much she can get away with, and Society is necessarily wary of such individuals. They applaud their grand successes, but smirk at their falls. No one would miss her party - it's sure to be the talk of the town. But who dresses like THAT as a hostess?
Lowest Connection: Rubbery. A few dark events in her past, and a dislike of the unnatural causes her to detest all things Rubbery. At least Tomb Colonists are people, albeit dead ones. But, hey, who isn't dead here?
Enemies: Hell. And anyone she's pitted herself against lately. The Masters, the Revolutionaries. The Bazaar, however, is more a rival to her mind.
Ambition: Heart's Desire. A game is a game, and Scarlet's good at games. Besides, this one smells of mystery. She keeps her hand in to find out the secrets of this avaricious trickery.
Other Goals: Survive, with Nathan. Explore the depths of passion, love and desire. Know the seven labyrinths. Undermine Devils' soul trade. Establish OSIRIS and prevent the End of London, or at least spare people from it. To be the sunlight in people's lives.
Finance: With proceeds from her highly successful brothel, The Crimson Ring, Scarlet invested in numerous properties in London and thereabouts. Additionally, she opened a Gallery/Museum in the Bazaar aptly named The Gallery of the Bazaarine. Income from all of these keeps her from having to worry at all about getting a new dress for that fete.
Residence: Marmalade Hall: A respectable townhouse in the Tower of Eyes. There is a post [Here]
Notable Possessions: A couple of black ribbons. A shard of mirror with a blood heart drawn on it...from the inside. The Crimson Book. Wears a silver leaf on a chain around her neck, on occasions where she isn't expecting to undress or showing her decolletage.
Favoured Weapon:Touch and Tongue of razorblade capability.
Combat Style: Avoidance, darting out of reach, ruining their lives from afar.

Background
Life Before London: The only daughter with four older brothers, a strict doctor father and a meek mother, her fate was to be beautiful, accessible, and marriageable. Scarlet quickly learned how to appear harmless and do what she wanted anyway, bucking authority and propriety as much as she could without getting caught. She was carrying on with several lovers while preparing for her wedding to the cousin of a peer, in line for the inheritance. And then, she Fell.
How did you Fall?: She was kidnapped. These days, she speaks as though it was the Bazaar that brought her down and not the jilted lover.
A Brief History of Life in London:
Fell, became a prostitute, moved up to courtesan, opened her own brothel to try and not become that used up hag everyone pays a pence for, made lucrative connections between important people and climbed up their backs to successful society lady. That's a summary. The whole story is far beyond relatable in a character sheet. See links at the top of the character sheet.
Religion: Raised Anglican, and superstitious in this way. Vacillates between thwarting the Church and patronizing it.
Occupation: A socialite, a business woman, seductress, courtesan, and secret spymaster
Hobbies & Interests: Reading occult and studying mystery and enigmas, writing poetry.
Talents: Seduction, sex , dancing, arranging fortunate circumstances, persuasion, utilising her influence. Serving tea. Playing piano. Embroidery. Singing. Putting on a fantastic soiree. Directing people's lives and finding places where they fit in. Riding horses. Putting together a plot and seeing it take action. Managing people. Leaving people wanting more.
Un-Talents: She's a lady, and has little to no skill in cooking, real sewing that isn't embroidery, cleaning, or anything having to do with real life.
Education: Tutored in topics appropriate for woman, so almost no math or science. Explored forbidden topics such as sex, occult, father's medical books, and the like.
Languages: English. Fairly good French. Quite a scholar of the Correspondence, but has gotten a bit out of practice since she gave up Seeking.
Family: Father and three brothers still alive on the surface, mother dead.
The Relationship Stuff
Relationship Status: Married to nathan_attford.
Sexual Orientation: Preference for men, but skilled with both.
How does your character feel about...
Sentient Nonhumans? Eugh. Keep away Rubbery. The Clay, though, they have their uses. Not that they count as People, mind you.
What about Tomb-Colonists? Eugh. I'll go wash my hands now.
Devils and Hell? The Enemy and competitors. If the soul is the seat of passion and desire, and they steal souls, Scarlet's a lot less powerful with the soulless. Answer? Fewer soulless--and a war on Hell.
The Masters? and The Bazaar? The Bazaar is a rival, of sorts, to her megalomaniac mind, and a lover. The Masters are not to be trusted, but also not to be discounted. They too have their agendas, and desires.
Social Issues? (sexism/racism/classism.....) Racist (fantastical), Sexist, Classist, Ableist - you name it, Scarlet probably has it. However, she's keenly aware of which views are considered undesirable, and keeps them publicly in check.
Religion? Anglican, if she had to choose one. She'd rather not choose any. But there is a heaven and a hell. Well. A hell, at least.
Temperance? Just another ploy to fuel desire and build a market.
